At J. Stamp & Sons we understand that the days after the funeral mark the beginning of a new chapter in your journey. We want to continue to support you as you take those next steps, and are proud to partner with SAIF Care.
SAIF Care is a service offered by funeral homes that are members of The National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF).
SAIF Care provides a range of services available to anyone over the age of 18 who has been bereaved, including:

- Support and information at www.saifcare.org.uk, or by email on help@saifcare.org.uk
SAIF Care services are offered by compassionate and friendly staff who are trained in counselling and bereavement, who are there to listen and support you. They will help you to understand your experience of grief, develop self-care and coping strategies, and support you in dealing with the challenges you may be facing.
Available Monday – Friday, from 9am–9pm. This service is confidential and free of charge to anyone who has used the services of J. Stamp & Sons.
J. STAMP & SONS BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP
Three times a year we run a bereavement support group at The Chestnuts. Held on a Saturday morning, it’s an informal gathering with plenty of tea, coffee and cake, where we bring people together in a welcoming environment. Whether you feel like talking or simply listening, you’re warmly invited to join us. We give a short presentation to help explain and normalise some of your feelings and experiences, and then facilitate a discussion to give you an opportunity to share if you wish.
As part of this we have teamed up with the well-known local charity LOROS to introduce their comprehensive bereavement service, which includes local drop-in sessions and hubs, group support programmes and/or 1:1 sessions, all facilitated by a dedicated team of highly trained volunteers.
